The Box only came yesterday so I have not had a chance to try all of the products just yet, however I did use the bareMinerals Bronzer in 'summer warmth' in my morning makeup routine and found it really very nice. The colour was matte, plus had a lot of payoff, so I did not have to use much at all to achieve quite a bronzed look.
My advice with it would be to use it sparingly for fair skin tones as it only comes in that one colour.
if you are trying to achieve a quite bronzed contoured look my advice would be to start very gently and build colour very gradually as it was a dark colour with alot of payoff.

In regards to the brush, it is always good to have more brushes and I always can never have enough but really I am not a fan of the free brushes or bonus brushes you get in gifts or in magazines for instance, they are never of very good quality and I don't know why but always smell really plasticcy and cheap!

The mascara shown in the top picture did not come in the box and I have called the company already and they will send me out my mascara at the first possible chance...

I am excited to try the Vichy Dermablend as uneven skin is something I suffer with my self so I will be sure to try it out this week and report back on whether it is any good at covering up scarring/pigmentation/uneven skin tone.

Will get back to you shortly regarding the other bits in the box!

Summer product ALERT!

Hello!

I have just come across a product I have not seen before, it may be new or it may just be new to me so if you have seen this all before then I apologise...

A professional haircare brand called ALTERNA have designed a product called '1 night highlights', the product is a non-flaky mousse which comes in three shades to give you either golden/red or caramel highlights which can simply be washed out the next day...

You shake the bottle ans apply using the hairbrush like applicator on the end of the can, running it through your hair from roots to tips to create the appearance of highlighted hair...

The product costs £16.00 in most places that I have looked, however some places say a whopping £29.95! So perhaps shop around online to find the best deal, the product can be found from many online stores by typing in 'Alterna 1 night highlights' into Google...

As the brand is Californian there are limited UK stockists but it is widely available online and lookfantastic.com provide free UK delivery... www.lookfantastic.com

SO.... do they work, is the product any good?

The general answer is that yes the product works really well, and if you are looking to just try out a style or go for a different look without going permanent then its perfect! The product does do exactly what it says it does and looks really good...

The only thing that could be a problem is using this product when you are going to curl your hair as the brand suggests you use hot hair tool BEFORE application, so if you were going to curl your whole head you would have to then apply the mousse after you have done all your curl, and applying the wet mousse and then brushing it through may damage what you did in terms of styling...
So in this case it may be better to go for a straighter style when using the product...

Overall its a really great idea, and particularly the blonde colour for the summer if you just want to brighten up your hair for a day or a night!
